Todd Rule Gives Back To Cgma With a Planned Gift

For BMC Todd Rule, every day in the Coast Guard was worth it. The work never stopped, and sometimes it surprised him. “My worst day in the Coast Guard was great,” he shares.

During 22 years of active duty, Todd served aboard the Acushnet and the Dependable and held assignments along the Gulf of Mexico. In 2005, he was in New Orleans when Hurricane Katrina struck. He lost many belongings but knew others had lost far more.

Already an allotment donor, Todd believed in giving back. After Katrina, he experienced CGMA’s support firsthand. He received a loan that was later converted to a grant, lifting the burden of repayment.

Todd’s support for the National Coast Guard Museum reflects his pride in the service’s history. His planned gift to CGMA carries forward his commitment to its people. Both honor what he holds dear.

CGMA was there when Todd needed it most. By documenting a planned gift, he is helping ensure future generations can count on that same care. Your plans can provide for loved ones and the causes close to your heart while including CGMA to care for Coast Guard people when life gets hard. Todd’s encouragement is simple: “Give back because CGMA has been there for us.”
